The denotative examination: The phrase exotic spice mystery alludes to the intended audience being asked to go on an mystery to discover new spices, or seasonings, with fabio in the picture. The questions, Enchantment and Destination means Fabio is asking you to go on an adventure with him to a special destination.
The connotative examination: The bigger picture is that be using the specific brand, Old Spice, the aroma of the product will give the impression to women of a very majestic and manly man.

A) Fabio and a baby who seems to be from Asia.
B) Fabio economic background comes from a history as a movie star and entrepreneurship. Fabio is seen socially as an ionic symbol of what all women dream of in a man. Strong, long hair. foreign, etc. The baby on the other hand seems to be from Asia . Asia is currently going through a rough path economic being in an ecomoinc downfall over the duration of the past two years. Social this baby is widely expect and shows diversity in the ad.
C) Fabio has a great extent of cultural knowledge. He was born and raised in Italy and then moved tot he United States later in his life. He has experienced social and economic trends in both Italy and the Untied states int his life. On the other hand, the baby has no extent of cultural knowledge. He may only be familiar with the people form his family and surrounding area where he lives due to his young age.

    I like how you included the appearance of the baby because that does have an impact on the ad itself. Also knowing that because the baby isn't white shows that he has cultural experience with other backgrounds. Including that he is from Italy shows that he isn't "Americanized" meaning that he has a cultural background himself.

    It's very interesting how you connected the fact that this man is holding a baby and how that makes him more manly, same thing with his necklace that typically are only worn by women. I like how you said that since he's in the middle of the forest with a bag of Old Spice, this will send a message to the audience that he enjoys going on adventures and that he can take women to a special destination. For a product that is mainly for men, it is ironic that they have a model that will mainly appeal to women.

    Some good thoughts here, but I definitely think you could have done more. Try to go through "the big 5" in your analysis and to include specific devices, techniques, or features. Additionally, think about the so what for any of the what/details you include- and avoid assumptions/generalizations when doing so.

Once Upon A Time

T he Ted Talk I chose to watch was "Wisdom of great writers from every year of life"  Joshua discusses experts from books about the author's age.  To begin,  Joshua uses Pathos to convey his message of positivist and encouragement and how this may not have been written specifically for him, but how it can apply to all of those who read.  He then goes onto reading many more experts, from different authors, about age and their life at that point in time.  He examines how time moves almost slower, as we now live longer with modern medicine, and have more time to experience the wonders of life.  The emphasis of quotes from an older age, saying how their time is up or they have lived their life, shows that age is just a number.  No matter how old or how young you think you are, you still have your life ahead of you and there is nothing that can put a limit on what you can achieve.  Joshua uses pathos as a main point of conversation, h...
